Her ice blue eyes lifted to meet his. "Your mother was right you know." It was something Rayne knew to be absolute truth. She had hidden behind a smile before, acted happy and carefree but that was what started her downward spiral, what led to the cutting. A shiver ran down her spine because of where her thoughts had turned. She closed her eyes for a moment, clearing her mind of the past, before meeting Will's eyes once again.

"True," she said softly while nodding slightly. She was so use to not smiling that it seemed rather odd to her when she did manage a smile. Maybe she could learn to smile again, things already seemed to be getting better knowing that she now was where she belonged, with people like herself.
